Cultivating Skills and Sustainability through Mushroom Farming
In partnership with our local pastor, Created for Good Works has developed a program to help our students and their families learn valuable agricultural skills. Through the program, students learn about sustainable farming practices and skills to grow their own food. The mushrooms we grow are sold to nearby restaurants, generating income to support their families and our foundation.
This program is part of our commitment to holistic education - giving the children we serve academic knowledge and the tools to create lasting change in their own lives.
Our Programs
At Created for Good Works, we believe that true change starts with education, guidance, and a loving community. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their potential. Our programs are designed to inspire hope and instill a sense of purpose and belonging.
Education Program
Children in underprivileged communities often lack access to quality education. Our Education Program fills this gap by providing a structured and supportive learning environment where children can thrive academically.
We focus on creating a strong foundation in reading, mathematics, and critical thinking, allowing each child to progress at their own pace. By empowering children with knowledge, we help them break free from the cycle of poverty and lay the groundwork for a brighter future.
Life Skills Program
Education is more than just textbooks and classrooms. It’s about equipping children with the practical skills they need to navigate life’s challenges. Our Life Skills Program includes courses in sewing, gardening, and art to nurture creativity and self-sufficiency.
These activities give children a sense of accomplishment, and helps them develop skills that can support them and their families for years to come.
Bible Study and Discipleship Program
Spiritual growth is at the heart of our mission. Our Bible Study & Discipleship Program offers children and their families the opportunity to learn about God’s word, deepen their faith, and build a strong moral foundation.
Through Bible studies, mentorship, and fellowship, we nurture not only the minds but also the hearts of the children in our care. We believe that teaching the Gospel is just as important as academic education, as it brings hope, joy, and a sense of purpose that transcends their current circumstances.
Vacation Bible School
Each year, we celebrate the end of the school year with our Vacation Bible School—a week filled with fun, friendship, and faith. This program allows children to come together, engage in games, crafts, and activities that reinforce the lessons learned throughout the year.
Vacation Bible School is a highlight for both the children and our volunteers, as it provides a chance to celebrate the children’s growth, explore new aspects of faith, and build lifelong memories.
