1. How does Created for Good Works help Children?
We are focused on providing educational opportunities, spiritual guidance and life skills to underprivileged children. Our programs include tutoring, Bible study and discipleship, life skills training, and much more. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty by offering these children the chance to receive a well-rounded education and the support they need to succeed.
2. Where is Created for Good Works located?
Our ministry is based in Manggahan, located in the northern portion of the island of Luzon. This location allows us to serve underprivileged children within our community, offering them a supportive environment to grow in faith and education.
3. How is Created for Good Works funded?
For the past four years, our ministry has been self-financed. As our mission grows, so does our need for sustainable support. We operate with a very small staff, take no salary from the Foundation, and rely heavily on our devoted volunteers. Our finances are carefully managed and audited annually to ensure the integrity of our work. With additional community support, we hope to continue this mission and expand our reach.
4. How does child sponsorship work, and why is it important?
Sponsoring a child directly impacts their access to education, healthcare, food, and spiritual development. This sponsorship creates a foundation of support that empowers them to pursue a brighter future. We invite our community to consider sponsoring a child and becoming a vital part of their journey, providing them with the opportunities and encouragement they need to thrive.
5. How can I trust that my donation is being used properly?
We understand the importance of transparency and accountability. Every donation goes directly toward supporting our programs and the children in our care. We provide regular updates on our progress and the impact of your contributions so you can see firsthand the difference you are making. We have been self-financing this ministry for the last 4 years. This is not sustainable as we grow. We take no salary from the Foundation, and employ a very small staff. We rely heavily on volunteers. We are audited annually.

9. What is the School of Tomorrow program?
The School of Tomorrow is a homeschooling curriculum designed to fill the educational gaps faced by children in underserved communities. Each child progresses at their own pace, ensuring mastery of core subjects before moving on to the next level. We use this program to give every child a solid educational foundation that prepares them for the future. SoT has a nearly universal college acceptance record.
10. How did Created for Good Works Foundation get started?
Our journey began in 2018 when our founders, John and Cheryl O’Brien, moved to the Philippines and saw the struggles faced by families living in poverty. The pandemic only magnified these problems, with students falling even further behind, and what started as providing relief goods turned into a lifelong mission to help children receive a quality education and learn about God’s love.

13. What additional support do you provide for the children in your programs?
In addition to quality Christian education, we provide essential medical and dental assistance to our students. Our students are deeply involved with our local church, where they volunteer in various ministries, fostering a spirit of service and connection. We also provide nutritious meals for our students and their families and offer temporary emergency shelter to children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. During severe weather events, we extend this support to the families of our students, ensuring they have a safe place to stay.
14. How did the pandemic impact the children you serve?
The pandemic only magnified the struggles faced by the underprivileged children in our community, with many falling further behind in their education. Through it all, we remained committed to their well-being, providing additional support to help them catch up academically and continue to grow in faith.
